Our Programs
Papou’s Mouse, Inc. is a unique nonprofit organization based in Tampa, FL, committed to fostering a supportive relationship between families fighting childhood cancer (Papou Families) and survivors of childhood cancer (Mouse Families). A childhood cancer diagnosis is a frightening experience for both children and their families. Unfortunately, many families feel alone and lost during this challenging time when support is most needed. Survivors of childhood cancer have first-hand experience with the unique challenges of the fight. They can offer vital support with genuine empathy and compassion. Papou’s Mouse’s dedication is to ensure that no one faces childhood cancer alone.
We offer the following programs:
We Connect (W.C.):
W.C. connects Papou Families with much-needed resources during their cancer journey. It also provides therapy resources for Mouse families.
Families UNited (F.U.N.):
F.U.N. facilitates outings, entertainment, and activities for both families. This time spent together allows for organic relationships to build and unify them. Outings may include amusement and water parks, zoos, summer camps, date nights, etc.
The PACK:
The Pack recognizes that men don't always have the support to express their emotions and accept help from others. Combining shared interests and creating an open environment, The Pack empowers father figures to communicate and connect. The Pack will also strengthen the bond between father figures and their child(ren) with activities that may include father-daughter and father-son outings.
My Moment:
Every fighter deserves his or her Moment! My Moment allows families to celebrate their fighters in a special way. Every Papou family in the program can experience a celebration for their fighter without the burden of financial responsibility. Be it a birthday, bell-ringing ceremony, or survivorship anniversary, Papou's Mouse will make it happen.
